It is about to see, to fore-see, to visualize. Have the basic rules in mind but be also ready to ignore them. See the lines, how they converge, plain geometry, spatial geometry, symmetry and contrast. And contrast means light, how it sculpts the image overall.

Pay attention also on the balance, decide how many details to include in your frame, or which details deserves attention.

Then you fall between the image and the camera, acting like an interface to connect the right parameters to the actual visualised image.

Switch the modes, get the right parameters and shoot.

It then can just come all together. But wait, some camera effects can be applied too, like zooming, panning and of course filters (in camera or mounted).

Sometimes all this must happen quick, in a few seconds time. Patience and practice is what you need!
