N ikon D5000 is the new entry-level DSLR. As the producer say, this camera brings "Innovative Vari-angle monitor, outstanding image quality and digital SLR movie function". Sitting between the D60 and D90, the D5000 has as a main competitor the Canon 500D. Smaller then the D90, this camera has many of the features of his big brother. To name a few: 12.3 MP CMOS sensor, live view, 720p movies and a 2.7 inch, 180 degree Tilt/Swivel LCD. Take pictures easily from any angle . The new D5000's 2.7-inch vari-angle LCD can be positioned to allow you to photograph from any angle. D-Movie . Like the D90, this new model allows you to shoot movie clips with audio. The video will be 720p HD at 24 fps. Other information . There is a long list of features. From this list I can mention: 19 different scene modes for shooting in a wide variety of situations, 11 point AF identical to the D90, Xpeed image processing custom tuned for the D5000, 3D Color Matrix Metering II uses an on-board database of 30,000 images.
